Salmon and avocado pair well together taste-wise and are loaded with healthy Omega 3’s, making this a heart healthy dish. So versatile it can be served as an appetizer or as a spread on your favorite bread for a delicious and healthy sandwich filling.
6 ounces wild salmon – fresh or canned
1 tablespoon onion finely minced
1 scallion finely minced
1/2 lime, freshly squeezed
salt and pepper to taste
1/8 – 1/4 teaspoon wasabi powder (optional)
Mash avocado and squeeze lime juice over it. Mash salmon and add to avocado/lime mixture. Add onion, scallions, and spices to mixture and stir until well blended. Garnish with scallions and chill to blend flavors.
