If you look at recent posts on Tiny Green Mom, it is quite clear that we are big fans of pretty much anything to do with yogurt! FroYo Bites – we’ve made those! Delicious fruit and yogurt parfaits? Check! Enjoyed in a mango lassi or topped lovingly with honey…can we get a YUM?

Recently, “Mom” was introduced to Smari Organic Icelandic Yogurt, which is the only certified organic Icelandic yogurt on the market. It is made with milk from only the best grass-fed Jersey and Guernsey cows, and the new flavors contain 13g of protein per serving! It’s organic! It’s protein-packed and oh-so smooth – what’s not to love?!

Smari new flavors

Smari just debuted four delicious new flavors, all made with whole milk, including Black Cherry and Chia, Key Lime, Pineapple, and New Orleans Coffee. According to the company’s website, it takes four cups of whole milk to make one cup of yogurt. Now that’s creamy!

The Key Lime and the Black Cherry & Chia were “Mom’s” favorite flavors, but the Pineapple flavor was reminiscent of a Dole Whip at the Magic Kingdom at Disney World…. it was just that good.

Mom” whipped up this fun, fast and deliciously healthy recipe with her little ones this past weekend! All it takes is a few minutes of prep time, and your kiddos will be able to create nutritious Mini FroYo Parfait Bites with minimal help!

Tiny Green Mom’s Mini FroYo Parfait Bites

Ingredients

3/4 cup Viki’s Granola

1 cup Organic Greek Yogurt (“Mom” prefers Stonyfield Farm)

Strawberries, diced

Blueberries, halved

FroYo 3

Preparation

Line 2 mini muffin tins with liners.

Prepare work area for little ones, setting out the diced fruit, organic yogurt, and granola in separate containers within reach.

FroYo 2

Sprinkle 1 – 1/2 tsp. of granola on bottom of each muffin cup.

FroYo 4

Top with dollop of organic yogurt.

Place a small amount of fruit on top of yogurt, and once completed, place in freezer until frozen.

We found that the FroYo Bites needed to be set out on a plate for a few minutes before being eaten so they were a bit easier to eat.

YUM!
